Not Alone

Admit it, we all have those dark days. Those days when we’re hurting and our wounds are rubbed raw. Maybe old wounds resurfaced or new ones were just gouged. Several times I have prayed for my friends to know that God was there the whole time.

Sometimes we feel like God has abandoned us. Maybe things go terribly wrong and you have nowhere to place the blame so you just get angry at Him. It’s our own blindness that make us think this way. When I’m there to reassure a friend I often refer to this song, “Me and Jesus” by Stellar Kart. Yes, I know some people could argue that it’s more of a teenage song, but I disagree. What you really need to listen to are the lyrics. When you feel abandoned and think about giving up you should remember that Jesus is there. Everything happens for a purpose. Jesus knows that purpose and if things would go better a different way in the long run He would make life go that different way. Someone loves you even if you don’t think so. Jesus loves you.

I can’t promise you that bad things won’t happen to you because that would be lying, but I can promise that no matter what Jesus will be with you even if it doesn’t seem like it. Speaking of which, if you have a prayer request feel free to leave it in the comments or go to my “Contact Me” page and hit me up with an email or drop it in my ask box on tumblr.

I just want you to know that you’re not alone, that we’re not alone.
Be strong, and be confident in the Lord’s presence in your life. Nothing can separate us from Jesus or His love.

I’ll leave you with two amazing verses:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
-Romans 8:38-39

Amen!! It’s so amazing knowing that we have the Almighty God by our side and that we are never alone no matter how we feel. Great post!
